Michael Greinecker (ENS Paris-Saclay) & Michael Nielsen (Department of Philosophy, Texas A & M University)

We show with a counterexample that Theorem 1 of “Can intergenerational equity

be operationalized?” is wrong. The problem with Theorem 1 does not affect the

remaining results of the paper, which form its core.

Keywords. Intergenerational equity, infinite utility streams, Pareto criterion.
